Here you will find Cocktail Mixing Master’s favorite and recommended shooters.

Shooter recipes with sweet and/or creamy liqueurs generally taste better than shooters with just spirits. But the sweet stuff is generally not as strong. So, are you in for the taste or the buzz? Cocktail Mixing Master generally prefers the sweet and creamy stuff to the strong stuff, but this depends on the situation.

Here's are our favourite recipes:


BANANA SPLIT

Ingredients:
1 part banana cream liqueur
1 part almond cream liqueur
1 part coffee liqueur
Cream

Glass:Shot

Preparation:Layer the ingredients in the glass with a thin layer of cream on top. Optional garnish is a cocktail cherry.

There are more straight-forward ways to make this shot. For example, shaking vodka and banana liqueur.


BJ

Ingredients:
Cream liqueur (like Bailey’s Irish Cream or Amarula - see our Cocktail Ingrdients Guide for more cream liqueurs)
Orange liqueur
Cream

Glass:Shot

Preparation:Layer the ingredients in the order above, with a thin layer of cream on top. Optional garnish is a cocktail cherry.

This one should be taken with only your mouth and your hands behind your back.


SLIPPERY NIPPLE

Ingredients:
Black sambuca
Cream liqueur

Glass:Shot

Preparation:Layer the ingredients into the glass.


SPRINGBOKKIE

A South African invention and favorite. It represents the coors of the South African national rugby team - green and gold.

Ingredients:
Peppermint liqueur
Cream liqueur

Glass:Shot

Preparation:Layer the ingredients in the order above.


CLIFFHANGER

Ingredients:
1 part brandy
1 part coffee liqueur
1 part cream liqueur
Cream

Glass: Shot

Preparation:Stir the ingredients excluding the cream with ice and strain into the glass. Float a thin payer of cream on top.
